Recordings and Live Streaming of Peals Ringing Homepage      Email me

I am planning to broadcast some live handbell peals soon. Ropes
As far as I know, the first live ringing streamed over the internet was in February 2001, when audio and video from a touch of Grandsire major from Clare College, Cambridge, were captured using a Logitech webcam and microphone and broadcast onto the internet. The stream was accessed in California, and elsewhere in Cambridge.

I intend to stream some whole handbell peals live from my room onto the internet, in Windows media audio format (.wma). For bandwidth reasons, no video will be broadcast initially. I have experienced difficulty in setting this up, so if you can offer any help, please email me.

Some brief recordings from handbells peals in my room are available below. A much more comprehensive collection of handbell recording is avialable on Graham John's website.
